Most phone camera apps can already do this — this tool is here for the cases where that's not convenient: scanning from a screenshot or file instead of a live camera, using a laptop webcam, or double-checking a code before trusting it.

- What kinds of codes can this scan?
- Standard QR codes — links, plain text, WiFi codes, vCard contact codes, and similar. It does not read 1D barcodes (CODE128, EAN-13, UPC); for those, you'd need a barcode-specific scanner.
