Nifbag is built around a simple rule: the tools on this site should not need to collect your data to work. This page explains, plainly, what that means in practice.

The short version

Nifbag runs no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind, and sets no cookies. There are no user accounts and no forms that collect personal information. Every tool — the QR code generator, barcode generator, password generator, and the rest — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Whatever you type into a tool is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to a server. The one exception is a privacy-friendly analytics service, described below, that reports only aggregate traffic numbers.

Analytics

Nifbag uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see basic, aggregate traffic numbers — for example how many people visited a page, or which site referred them here. It was built specifically to avoid the privacy trade-offs of tools like Google Analytics: it doesn't use cookies or any other client-side storage, doesn't fingerprint your browser or device, and doesn't track you across other websites. It reports aggregate counts, not a profile tied to you individually. No other analytics, advertising, or tracking-pixel scripts of any kind are loaded on this site.

What data is processed, and by whom

Beyond that analytics service, there is very little to disclose — but for full transparency, here is what standard web hosting involves regardless of the site:

This site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Like any hosting provider, Cloudflare processes standard server-level request data as part of delivering pages to your browser — for example your IP address, browser type, and the page requested — the same way any website on the internet is served. This happens at the network level to route traffic and isn't something Nifbag adds, configures, or has access to as identifiable personal data. Nifbag itself does not log, store, or analyze this information.

Tool inputs never leave your device

The text, links, numbers, or settings you enter into a Nifbag tool — for example the content of a QR code, or a password's length and character options — are used only to generate the result you see on the page. They are not sent to a server, not stored, and not visible to anyone but you.

Cookies

Nifbag does not set cookies — not for tracking, advertising, or analytics. The analytics service described above is cookie-free by design. If that ever changes, this page will be updated to disclose it clearly, along with a way to control it.
